John lechago John Lechago was born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada in 1969. When he was four years old his family moved to Southern California. Early on, John showed a keen interest and ability in visual art. His father enrolled him into private art classes and this led to numerous awards by the age of ten. John was also enrolled in a martial arts class with the goal of teaching himself self defense. However, on the second day the Instructors had a screening on 16mm of their newly finished movie. It was "Breaker, Breaker" and John noticed that many of the adults from the school were in the film. Yes, John was coincidentally enrolled in a Chuck Norris school. At age ten, he was an extra in one of Chuck's movies and that cemented his desire to be a filmmaker. As an adult, John studied art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and then transferred to the film school of Colombia College Chicago where he graduated from. To this date he has completed two independent films. "Magus" is his second effort. He now lives in Southern California writing, directing and producing independent films.
