Monique La Barr
Along with the vitality that is the entertainment
industry, Monique La Barr has found her footing playing roles that range from
the emotional maniac to a psychotic killer to the happy go lucky girl next
door. She was born in Orange County, California. With a stint on a local cable
show at 5 and having two parents who, as she puts it, were very vocal and
opinionated to say the least. Acting and performing was the only way to go.
She has been working steadily in independent films over the past 2 years and has
three coming out early 2008. DNA shot in Ensenada, Mexico. Shallow Rustic
Affinities and Adios Mi Amigo directed by Kalpana Chitnis Singh. You can also
see her in Judd Apatow's Walk Hard, Elvis Returns, Moira and Fear house. Also
coming out early 2008. Monique is also an accomplished writer, having written
articles for local magazines and online publications.
In her free time, she loves to travel and write poetry. It is her passion and
love to keep working in film. She finds it gratifying to get outside one's self
and be catapulted inside a different life.
